New! Universal Class
With your library card, you have access to more than 500 lifelong learning courses online! Universal Class brings libraries lifelong learning courses in over 30 subject areas, many of which offer continuing education units (CEUs). All courses are designed and led by professional instructors to build deeper understanding and mastery of subject matter. Universal Class includes videos, assignments, quizzes, tests, and options for social media interaction with other learners. Patrons may take multiple classes and learn at their own pace. Why spend money on e-books for your Kindle or Nook when you can borrow thousands of titles from the library for free? The Brewster Library has Roku streaming media players available for patrons to borrow. With Roku, you can enjoy popular movies, TV shows, music, games and more on your TV by streaming directly from the Internet. Roku players connect directly to your TV and to your high-speed Internet service via your home network. You can choose to borrow a Roku 2 or a Roku 3. Roku players are available to all Mid-Hudson library card holders, but the device can only be picked up and returned at the Brewster Public Library. Museum passes provide free or reduced admission to library cardholders, through the generosity of our Friends group. Click here for a list of passes we offer, or call the library to reserve a pass.
Are you taking a road trip but don’t want to purchase a costly GPS? Would you like to try one of these devices before committing to buy? Patrons with a valid library card may borrow our Garmin GPS.
